Body Sculpting With Cosmetic Surgery

Nov 19th, 2010No Comments

There was a time when people used diet and exercise as means to achieve the body that they wanted. However, times have changed quite fast and today diet, exercise and cosmetic plastic surgery is what is used to get the body that you always desired. Thanks to cosmetic surgery, body sculpting has become a real possibility and people from all over the United States and Canada go through multiple body sculpting cosmetic surgeries every year.

So what exactly is body sculpting? Well it simply means carving or shaping your body the way you want it to appear. If you go the natural way, it will take at least a few years of strict diet and rigorous exercise to achieve what you want. Even then it is not a guarantee and things could easily go out of hand if you end up changing your diet or exercise schedule for even a few days. However, thanks to the developments in cosmetic surgery, you do not have to painstakingly wait for many years before you get the body that you want. You can now attain your dream figure within a few cosmetic surgery sessions. Of course for entire body sculpting you will have to go through multiple cosmetic procedures which target your face, upper body, abdomen as well as lower body parts.

Usually for the face, individuals prefer to undergo multiple surgeries at once which target your entire face. From an eyelift surgery to cosmetic surgery for your ears, rhinoplasty which targets your nose, lip augmentation and complete facelift. All these procedures sculpt a face as per your preference. For your upper and lower body, usually plastic surgeons would first perform liposuction procedures to not only remove excess fat from your body, but to also give it a shape as you desire. Many women want the perfect hour glass figure and hence they want to undergo breast augmentation, back scooping, liposuction, tummy tuck as well as a buttock augmentation one after the other. These procedures end up creating the perfect hour glass figure and the most ideal body for showing off any dress you may have in your closet.

Those women who feel their legs do not match the rest of their body especially after cosmetic surgery can opt for various procedures available specifically targeting the legs. From calf augmentation to leg liposuction and creating smooth symmetrical legs, you can go through any or all of those procedures to finally sculpt an overall body that you have always dreamt about. The only aspect to take care of while opting for so many cosmetic surgeries is your current medical condition. You need to discuss with your plastic surgeon regarding your health condition and how soon you can undergo each type of surgery. Sometimes it is advisable to be patient and give some time between surgeries so that your body can heal and be prepared for the next procedure.

Previewing Your Appearance before Cosmetic Surgery Procedures

Nov 17th, 20101 Comment

To say cosmetic plastic surgery has advanced significantly over the past couple of decades would be quite an understatement. As a matter of fact, today the cosmetic surgery industry is known to be one of the most technologically advanced industries and one of the leaders in innovation and development. Plastic surgeons have been able to achieve far more than what is expected from them year after year. Cosmetic surgeons have also invested heavily in research and development activities to constantly upgrade their skills. At the same time, new innovations have been able to help customers in a way they could never imagine before.

One of the innovations that were introduced quite some time ago was being able to preview how an individual would appear after completing a particular cosmetic surgery. While such technology has been quite old, it has continued to evolve over the past few years and today you can expect a more realistic preview of any cosmetic surgery. Plastic surgeons are able to show you exactly how you would appear, the changes your face or body would go through and would even be able to modify certain procedures as per your preferences. Previewing your appearance post cosmetic surgery has been able to boost body sculpting via cosmetic surgery to a whole new level. Cosmetic surgery has always been one of the main aesthetic tools for many individuals but now people are demanding much more from plastic surgery. They not only want to undergo procedures such as nose jobs, facelifts, breast augmentations etc, they want to see what they would look like after surgery and perhaps ask the surgeons for certain modifications.

Plastic surgeons feel that it is their clients who seem much more eager to preview their appearances and give their own inputs on the upcoming cosmetic surgery procedure. Many surgeons say it never fails to amaze them how people react to previews. Many feel much more confident about undergoing the cosmetic procedure once they have seen a realistic preview of how they will appear post surgery. What also amazes surgeons is the way people get creative and more imaginative once they can see themselves on a computer screen with the proposed changes on their face or body.

Using computers and specialized software for the cosmetic surgery industry, it has been a win-win situation for both plastic surgeons and their clients. Surgeons are constantly looking at creating the most realistic experience via computers and giving their clients exactly what they want out of the cosmetic surgery.

Michael Jackson’s Mother Talks About his Addiction to Plastic Surgery

Nov 16th, 20102 Comments

Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine Jackson made a rare appearance on television when she appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show along with her husband Joe Jackson. She was also accompanied by Michael’s three children Prince, Paris and Blanket. While she spoke about life in the Jackson household and especially about her late son Michael, it was the first time she spoke out regarding her son’s addiction to cosmetic plastic surgery.

Michael Jackson who although admitted to only 2 nose jobs during his lifetime is rumored to have gone through an enormous number of cosmetic surgery procedures to completely change the way he looked. It took no genius to figure out Michael’s fixation or even obsession with cosmetic surgery. According to Katherine Jackson, Michael had self esteem issues and often thought he was ugly. His mother revealed how he would not like go out because of his low self esteem which made him obsess about the way he appeared. Katherine went on to say “He’d say “I’m just so ugly, I don’t want to go out there” “I’d say ‘You’re not’. To a mother, all her children are always beautiful.”

The interview with Oprah Winfrey gave a lot of insight to the mind of Michael Jackson. Although he was the undisputed King of Pop, Michael was mainly known for all the rumors, court cases and his obsession with cosmetic surgery during the latter part of his life. Katherine Jackson’s revelations regarding her son has enabled everyone to understand the man better and the need for cosmetic surgery. Michael Jackson has been one of the most talked about celebrities in the cosmetic surgery websites, blogs, magazines and television shows. People have continually criticized Michael Jackson for completely altering everything about his appearance. However, with Katherine Jackson opening up about her son, perhaps Michael was misunderstood and the cosmetic surgeries were a way to make himself feel better and keep in check all the extreme emotions he felt inside.

Cosmetic surgery is in fact meant to provide people with the confidence they need to go out and achieve what they want. Although addiction to cosmetic surgery is a bad thing but if utilized properly, plastic surgery procedures can completely change your life and the way you feel about yourself. Maybe Michael Jackson went too far with his plastic surgery obsession but one thing that is for sure, is that for most people he will always remain the undisputed King of Pop and perhaps the most talented performer of his generation.

Web TV Channel Dedicated to Cosmetic Surgery Launched in UK

Nov 15th, 20102 Comments

Here is some really interesting news I came across. Britain is going to get a dedicated web TV channel exclusively for cosmetic surgery. The news got me all excited and I feel it is about time there were channels dedicated to the subject especially regarding safe cosmetic surgery. The web TV channel known as Avia TV is headed by leading plastic surgeons and consultant surgeons who have already been featured in shows such as Extreme Makeover, Embarrassing Bodies and The Ugly Face of Beauty. The aim of Avia TV seems to be “providing accurate and balanced information about plastic surgery procedures”.

Co-founder of Avia TV, Peter Arnstein, who himself is a consultant plastic surgeon at the renowned McIndoe Surgical Centre was quoted as saying “Cosmetic surgery is sometimes a misunderstood and often controversial industry so we wanted to devise a web channel dedicated to giving the facts to enable patients to make the right decisions for them. We never forget that the safety and welfare of patients is paramount. It Changed My Life will take care of people and, we hope, will show viewers how responsible surgery should be done.”

It Changes My Life is actually the flagship show of the web TV channel and the promoters are leaving no stone unturned to have a big launch. They have actually announced that the channel has launched a search for both men and women who could win cosmetic plastic surgeries worth thirty thousand pounds. That’s quite an incredible prize if you ask me. However, more than the contest or launch of a dedicated TV channel for cosmetic surgery, what excites me the most is the vision of the TV channel. It is extremely important that people get the right information and do their due diligence before deciding to undergo any kind of cosmetic surgery procedure. The TV channel can act as one of the resources where individuals evaluating cosmetic surgery can get the information they need and proceed accordingly. Also without doubt we need more resources which promote safe cosmetic surgery as the industry overall has grown tremendously in the past decade and a few surgeons or individuals not adhering to the code of conduct gives the entire industry a bad name.

The more people are aware of the various cosmetic surgery procedures, their risks, how to minimize post surgery side effects, how to plan for a cosmetic surgery etc, the better it is for the industry and safety of everyone.

Botox – Is it Plastic Surgery?

Nov 12th, 2010No Comments

How many times have you heard someone saying “Oh I never had any plastic surgery, only Botox.”? I have heard many celebrities say this. They keep denying ever having going through any kind of cosmetic surgery only to later reveal all they went through were Botox injections. The interesting aspect about this is that many individuals actually do not consider Botox as plastic surgery. There are even those who criticize the plastic surgery industry all the time but would not mind having Botox treatments.

So the question is do you consider Botox to be plastic surgery or you feel it is something completely separate? Obviously Botox is extremely popular. As a matter of fact it is considered to be the most popular form of any kind of cosmetic surgery in the world. Not only does it dominate rankings for non surgical cosmetic procedures, it is overall the most performed cosmetic procedure whether surgical or non surgical. The United States and Canada alone account for millions of Botox procedures each year. Add the global figures to this and you may have tens of millions of Botox procedures being performed every year. It is also one of the cosmetic procedures which have similar numbers for both men and women so obviously it appeals to most people from around the world.

Those arguing that Botox is not a plastic surgery procedure say there are no incisions involved in it. It is only a matter of an injection which can be completed in a matter of minutes. You do not have to take time off from work or alter your daily schedule in any way. It is a simple activity where you go to the surgeon’s office and are out within minutes, back to your normal life.

While the above statements are true, they simply describe most non surgical cosmetic procedures. Also by that argument, aren’t all non surgical procedures not plastic surgery then? Non surgical procedures, even though they do not have incisions involved in them, they still fall under the plastic surgery industry. So the question arises how is Botox different from other non surgical cosmetic procedures?

Do you think the notion that Botox is not cosmetic surgery was started by celebrities and other socialites who want to reverse signs of ageing via cosmetic surgery but at the same time do not want to face up to the critics of the industry? Tell us what you think about Botox and whether or not it falls under plastic surgery according to you.

Makeup and Cosmetic Surgery

Nov 11th, 2010No Comments

There is hardly any woman who does not like to apply makeup on their face. As a matter of fact we absolutely love makeup and could not imagine a life without it. However, of late we have been getting quite uncomfortable with critics of cosmetic plastic surgery industry asking people to use makeup instead of undergoing cosmetic procedures. We find that funny as well as absurd in many levels as usually makeup is considered as something that is complimentary to cosmetic surgery and not something to replace surgical or non surgical cosmetic procedures.

There are many reasons why we feel the argument relating to using makeup instead of cosmetic surgery is absurd. First of all makeup or any kind of cosmetics is a temporary solution. It wears off in less than 24 hours. Cosmetic surgery is more of a permanent solution. Obviously even the effects of any cosmetic surgery would not last forever, but still it is meant to give long lasting results which can be anything from a few weeks to a few years depending upon the type of cosmetic surgery you have undergone.

Also cosmetic surgery is meant for reconstructive as well as aesthetic reasons. It is one of the best ways to reverse the signs of ageing. Makeup on the other hand is only for aesthetic reasons and for immediate gratification. No amounts of makeup can make you look younger or provide a youthful appearance to your face. Makeup will only hide blemishes on your skin temporarily. At the same time, prolonged use of makeup can in fact result in skin problems which may require cosmetic surgery to rectify.

Of course when critics advice people to use makeup instead of cosmetic surgery, we assume they are talking about the face only. Cosmetic surgery is a vast industry and has an incredible amount of uses. It not only gives hope to people with birth defects or those with body defects due to accidents and other unfortunate circumstances, it also helps you in various other ways such as losing weight, feeling confident about yourself and sculpting your body the way you have always desired. Even when it comes to the face alone, cosmetic surgery can help you mould your facial features to exactly what you want and help make your face appear more symmetrical. You cannot touch every aspect of your face using makeup and need cosmetic surgery if you really want to change anything about a particular facial feature.

More Real Housewives Stars Admit to Plastic Surgery

Nov 10th, 201014 Comments

After NeNe Leakes from The Real Housewives of Atlanta fame admitted to undergoing cosmetic plastic surgery, it was the turn of the cast from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to talk about their tryst with cosmetic surgery. It was interesting to hear each and every cast member of the show admitting to some kind of plastic surgery in the past and not being afraid to say so. There was no attempt to hide any facts or play down the number of cosmetic procedures each one had gone through. It would seem the stars of The Real Housewives series are much more open and honest about cosmetic surgery than other television personalities.

The sixth installment of The Real Housewives franchise stars Kyle Richards who is Paris Hilton’s aunt, Kim Richards who is a former child star, Camille Grammer who is the estranged wife of Kelsey Grammer, Taylor Armstrong, Adrienne Maloof and Lisa Vanderpump who is a restaurant owner. Each of the six stars revealed the type of cosmetic surgery procedures they have gone through during a chat with Judith Regan. The cosmetic procedures they admitted to are summarized as follows:

Kyle Richards: Rhinoplasty plus Botox.
Kim Richards: Breast Implants plus Botox.
Camille Grammer: Breast Implants plus Botox.
Taylor Armstrong: Lip Augmentation, Botox as well as Breast Implants.
Adrienne Maloof: Rhinoplasty, Breast Implants, Fillers as well as Botox.
Lisa Vanderpump: Botox only.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on the Bravo cable network and has become a huge success ever since its launch last month. The Real Housewives of franchise has become one of the highest rated series ever on the Bravo network. The reality show follows the six cast members and gives insight into the lives of housewives in Beverly Hills. Each of the cast members are a socialite and a celebrity in their own right. A number of the cast members of all Real Housewives shows have had a successful career and many are entrepreneurs themselves at the moment.

Coming back to cosmetic surgery, many believe that almost all the members of each installment of the franchise have gone through some kind of plastic surgery procedure but have not been as open about it. However, the refreshing aspect of the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is that they have all admitted to cosmetic surgery together and have left nothing to speculation. They have also shown how cosmetic surgery is a common occurrence in Beverly Hills.

Is Heidi Montag Regretting Her Cosmetic Surgery Procedures?

Nov 9th, 20101 Comment

I read somewhere a few days back that Heidi Montag is considering filing for bankruptcy. The moment I read that news, the first thing that came to mind was – if she didn’t have any money, how did she afford all those cosmetic plastic surgery procedures? In fact not just the cost of the procedure itself, how did she manage the after care treatments etc? Well a little more digging and sure enough I found a quote from Heidi Montag where she mentions how she wishes she had not gone through with so many cosmetic surgery procedures and spent a fortune on them.

Well such kind of things actually makes me go mad. I feel many individuals look at the cosmetic plastic surgery industry in a negative light since they feel cosmetic surgeries make people obsessed with them without realizing its cost. The truth is, most people who prefer undergoing cosmetic procedures know what they are doing, know how much it costs and do complete due diligence before going through with any kind of procedure. However, there are a few who become obsessed, don’t care about their own income or how they will manage the costs of all the surgeries and also go through plastic surgery for all the wrong reasons. These are the people who end up giving the cosmetic surgery industry a bad name.

My advice to anyone reading this blog or considering opting for cosmetic surgery, please first look at your finances and then take a decision. Cosmetic surgery is meant to make your life better. It is meant for reconstructive purposes or for aesthetic reasons which will make you feel good about yourself. It is not meant to create problems for you at a later stage. Not taking care of your finances before opting for cosmetic surgery will make it tough for you in the future.

Coming back to Heidi Montag, she actually went through ten cosmetic surgery procedures on the same day. Normally we would not have a problem with that and even feel sometimes going through multiple surgeries together is a good thing. However, getting all such cosmetic surgeries when in reality you can’t afford it is a huge mistake. Heidi Montag has gone through multiple breast augmentations, buttock augmentation, liposuction on various parts of her body, Botox, fat injections etc. While we always feel a person has the right to undergo any cosmetic procedure they want without having critics pointing a finger at them, but being obsessed with cosmetic surgery and going bankrupt in the process is certainly not what we condone.

Joan Rivers Cosmetic Surgery

Nov 8th, 20101 Comment

Even though Joan Rivers’ career has seen incredible ups and downs, she is without doubt considered a legend in her industry. One of the best comedians in the world, Joan is known for her amazing wit and a distinctive sense of humor. Of course currently in her late seventies, Joan Rivers has found new admirers purely because of her incredible energy which can put people more than half her age to shame. As a matter of fact, when she won the Celebrity Apprentice reality show, the one thing that came out was how much energy she had in herself even after all these years. No other contestant on the show whether male or female could match her liveliness.

Her energy level is what makes us feel that her fondness for cosmetic plastic surgery is a complete match for her personality. Clearly on the inside, she still has the outlook, vigor and enthusiasm of a person much younger her age. So why not make her outside appear the same with the help of cosmetic surgery? Many people have criticized Joan Rivers for going through so many cosmetic surgery procedures. It is quite clear that she has gone through almost all the popular plastic surgeries there is out there and is happy about it. She is not one of those celebrities who secretly undergo cosmetic surgery only to talk negatively about it in public. We admire Joan Rivers for being the person she is and for not being afraid to admit to what she likes or does not like.

Cosmetic surgery is the best way for her to hide the signs of ageing and try and match how she feels inside with what she appears from outside. Of course there will always be critics for everything a celebrity of her stature does but overall most people admire her for what she is. Currently Joan Rivers can be seen in a documentary based on her life called Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work. The documentary is being called one of the best show business documentaries giving an important insight to the industry and the fascinating life of Joan Rivers.

Joan is said to have been undergoing cosmetic procedures every year to reverse as much signs of ageing as possible and is said to have tried everything from a nose job to facelifts, cheek and chin lift, liposuction, Botox, brow lift, breast augmentation and an eye lift amongst others.

Are Models More Open About Plastic Surgery than other Celebrities?

Nov 4th, 20101 Comment

It is no secret anymore regarding celebrities getting cosmetic plastic surgery and not admitting to it. This is especially true for actors, musicians and television personalities. Just a quick look at the images of these celebrities over the years and you can see a clear change in the facial features. Some actors who aspire to make it big one day get cosmetic surgery done at an early stage while others do it once they start showing the signs of ageing. However, even though most celebrities who undergo cosmetic surgery would not admit to it, those connected with the modeling world seem to be quite different.

We have found many a times that an established model is more open and honest about cosmetic surgery and its benefits. Models often are under much higher pressure than actors to have perfect features. Even the slightest flaw in their skin, face or other parts of their body can lead to their entire careers being over. Hence many models have opted for cosmetic surgery to help them with their modeling careers and maintain body features desirable to the industry. Of course the refreshing thing about most models is that even if they go through a minor cosmetic surgery procedure, they are less likely to hide it if asked. This is contrary to many other celebrities who even go ahead and criticize the cosmetic plastic surgery industry even though they themselves have gone through multiple cosmetic procedures in their lifetime.

In fact of late there has been a trend in Hollywood to bash cosmetic surgery or to come out with statements on how they regret getting any kind of plastic surgery. That is why it was quite refreshing to read the statements of well known model Paulina Porizkova where she admitted she was not against plastic surgery and went on to say “In many cases, it is something that can so vastly improve the quality of life it actually saves it.” Paulina is not the first model to talk on behalf of cosmetic surgery. There have been many others before who admit to the benefits of plastic surgery for the modelling industry. Of course there will always be a few models who will never disclose cosmetic surgery as one of the secrets behind their beauty or youthful appearance just like there are many actors who openly admit to undergoing all kinds of cosmetic surgeries. But the percentages of models being pro plastic surgery seems to be much higher. Mind you many feel the reason for this is that a model can undergo cosmetic surgery and not have too many people pointing fingers whereas many actresses feel they will be subjected to various rumors or gossiping if they spoke more openly about cosmetic surgery.
