Body lift, also known as Belt Lipectomy, is a procedure that involves lifting multiple areas of the body. A body lift may include a lower body lift, consisting of buttock and thigh lift, tummy tuck and arm lift. The body lift procedure removes excess skin, tissue and fat, the remaining skin is tightened. This is a common procedure after large weight loss or surgical procedures as bariatric surgery such as gastric bypass or Lap Band.

Large weight loss commonly leads to folds of loose skin that cannot be reduced with the aid of dieting or exercise, it can only be removed surgically. The procedure will leave scar tissue in the areas where the skin will be removed, the plastic surgeon will minimize the scarring with a range of surgical techniques.

Depending on the amount of areas the surgery will target, the procedure may be stretched over several days as opposed to performing all procedures in one setting. You will feel discomfort, however the pain may be controlled with medication. Swelling, bruising and soreness my persist for a month or more after the surgery.

The results of a body lift are instant, however the final results will not be seen until the swelling has faded. You will receive specific recovery instructions that generally involve several weeks of rest and an additional period of avoiding strenuous activities.

  2. The cost of gastric bypass surgery is quite high and if you don’ have at least $20000 to spare for the surgery, I suggest you look for other means to lose the excess weight. If your insurance company can cover the cost of gastric bypass surgery, you are among the lucky few who are not too risky to be covered by an insurance company. There are some insurance companies that will not provide cover for gastric bypass procedures. For those who don’ have a health insurance cover, the cost of gastric bypass surgery can be an uphill task to cover. The price really varies state to state. I would not recommend having it done in South America, too dangerous.

  4. I honor Michael Jackson and there isn’t anything that will change my opinion. I adore Michael Jackson as a person and not as a result of Michael’s career and fame
